SUPER SMASH BROS. Possible Roster Addition Leak?

Nintendo has been drip feeding fans of the Super Smash Bros. series news about characters and stages through the game’s official website. On August 20, however, a NeoGAF user posted an image compiling a series of leaks pertaining to the what could be game’s full and expansive roster.

The image shown suggest a total of forty-eight characters from Nintendo’s grand history. Characters who have formerly been unknown include the dog from Duck Hunt, Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles and Bowser Jr. just to name a few. If this is indeed the official roster than it will be the most expansive the series has seen yet.

Aside from being the largest collection of characters in a SSB game to date, this seems to be the most eclectic as well. If the Wii Fit Trainer, the Villager from Animal Crossing and Pac-Man, announced on the official website was not a big enough step into the weird, the dog from Duck Hunt seen in the picture below most certainly is. It looks like the developers are having some real fun this time around.

Super Smash Bros. is due for release on October 3 for the 3DS, and has an unconfirmed release date for its Wii U counterpart.
