WATCH_DOGS DLC for Wii U Available

On November 18, 2014, Ubisoft’s Watch_Dogs series will be released for the Wii U in North America, and on November 21, 2014 for UK gamers. Alongside Watch_Dogs‘ North American drop date are some interesting DLC packages available through the Nintendo eShop. The news has some gamers who’ve waited patiently for this release buzzing, and understandably so!

The first available package is the Access Granted DLC, which is a compilation of the pre-order bonus content already available for all other platforms. Access Granted includes new outfits, skills, and a trio of contract missions.

Through the Nintendo eShop, gamers can also purchase the Conspiracy DLC. The Conspiracy DLC is an in-game augmented reality mission where AI enemies are hunted down. There was some upset over the unavailability of the Watch_Dogs Bad Blood DLC, however it seems Nintendo and Ubisoft both don’t want to leave Nintendo loyalists and Wii U owners with no extra content to enjoy. The reception has been warm.

Watch_Dogs experienced push-backs ever since its initial release date in November 2013. One year later and the title, which has already been shipped for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and PC this past May, is finally on the Wii U. While the title has sold more than 9 million copies worldwide, only time will tell what impact the Wii U will have on the its continued growth. A spike in sales in the right direction could force Ubisoft’s hand and bring back their mature titles to the platform.
