THE LEGEND OF KORRA to Return to Television

In a Facebook post, Nickelodeon has announced that The Legend Of Korra will return to television. “Book Four: Balance,” the second part of the series’ second season, will premiere on the digital cable channel Nicktoons on Nov. 28th at 9 PM EST, with new episodes still premiering on on Fridays.

The announcement comes on the heels of renewed criticism of Nickelodeon’s handling of the critically acclaimed show. “Book Three: Change” was taken off the air this past summer after an episode leak resulted in a rushed release schedule and, according to Nick, declining ratings.

On November 20th, series co-showrunner Bryan Konietzko addressed the issue of the latest episode, “Remembrances,” being a clip show by explaining that the creative team’s Book Four budget had been slashed by almost an entire episode’s worth, but he and co-showrunner Michael DeMartino did not want to let their staff go weeks earlier than planned.
