Capcom Rolls Out Another Remastered RESIDENT EVIL

On May 26 2015, Capcom would announce yet another game they are giving the remastered treatment to; Resident Evil 0.  Resident Evil 0, originally released on the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002, is the next game on the list of a few that have already been announced and/or released so far (Resident Evil HD, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, Mega Man Legacy Collection). Team members that worked on the original game will be helping along to make this special treat to Resident Evil fans see the light of day.

Capcom released a trailer which would treat us to our first look at the title. Like any game given the “remastered treatment” the results are phenomenal. Resident Evil HD before it would sell more than 1 million copies, so it only makes sense for the company to continue to put out remastered digital titles that will make us fork over our wallets. Capcom has spoken out on this stating that it will be a “key business activity” moving forward. Players can now look forward to “partner zapping” (essentially switching between the two main characters) in all of its HD glory.

Capcom has not come out and announced an exact date as of yet. What we do know is that they plan to release it early 2016 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC respectively. Meanwhile, we have aforementioned remastered titles to enjoy before it. Resident Evil 0 Remastered will no doubt impress fans and also be sold at a price of value, offering a blast from the past for less than the retail forty to sixty dollars we throw at most games.

While I find this spiffy and all, it’s nice to give a really good Gamecube game this kind of notice, but what bothers me is that this “remastering” seems to detour people from the fact that they have NO clue about new ideas or concepts. They’re content with cashing in on previous success and failing to offer n innovative experience. I already own all of these games, why would I want to buy them AGAIN!? I want to see something different!

The question all that are annoyed with this process ask. Can’t blame you either. I wonder myself when a new Mega Man game will finally see the light of day.
